Shortly after writing the 'Pencil Yourself In' post, I cleaned up my apartment which included tossing out 2 big trash bags of last semester's work and washing 4 loads of laundry. After that, I decided to heat up some incredible baked Ziti from the night before, and take a little lunch break. Next, I turned on my TV to have some light lunch entertainment and I saw that my dear TIVO had recorded Say Anything, then a thought hit me, I deserved an afternoon to myself and it could be as wonderful as any 'real' date.
So, I turned down all the blinds, turned off the computer and phones, poured myself a hardy glass of Chardonnay and enjoyed my heady portion of pasta and Cusack. This moment was as good as any for my April POP Project self date. I always forget how great that movie is and how I fall in love with Lloyd Dobler every time. I savored my Ziti, some thick garlic toast and 3 Dove chocolates, and when the movies was over, I drifted of into a lovely afternoon nap.
Originally, I did want this date to include leaving the house, but sometimes just decompressing at home all by yourself can be like medicine to the hectic work and school life, and I definitely needed a dose.
Trials and follies of a lifetime student.

'Say Anything'? Anytime.
I think that some of the best dates occur at home. Sounds like you had a great one!
Thanks Ladies, for all the support, I think this is so fun, I am looking forward to the media purge in the next POP!
